Ponc Gómez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Espiridion Manrique took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. Galsino Barba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. It was a well-played corner which Romulo Jaen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Ponc Gómez in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in León FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ponc Gómez came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Santalla in the 68th minute of the match.
