The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Julian Lluterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julian Lluterio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julian Lluterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, TOYOTA Panasonic RacingF1's Guido Daunte got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 17th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliciano Ongile might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feliciano Ongile ran back to his position shaking his head. After 25 played minutes TOYOTA Panasonic RacingF1 got a freekick which was hit by Moises Loco. Julian Lluterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Lluterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after TOYOTA Panasonic RacingF1's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julian Lluterio quite easily take care of the ball. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. Anselmo Oton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play forced TOYOTA Panasonic RacingF1's goalkeeper Julian Lluterio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Feliciano Ongile tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The supporters of Ecuador booed when TOYOTA Panasonic RacingF1 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Oton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Lluterio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Julian Lluterio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by TOYOTA Panasonic RacingF1's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that TOYOTA Panasonic RacingF1's Julian Lluterio managed to reach the ball for a save. 72 minutes into the match, TOYOTA Panasonic RacingF1's goalkeeper Julian Lluterio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Lluterio having to interfere. Ecuador played a much better game than TOYOTA Panasonic RacingF1 and deserved their victory. The TOYOTA Panasonic RacingF1 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
