The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kacper Jaworski kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Intxixu Porregimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Intxixu Porregimon having to make a save. 13 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Intxixu Porregimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Intxixu Porregimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 18th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Intxixu Porregimon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 29th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Intxixu Porregimon. Mexilhão F. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon. Intxixu Porregimon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 57th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Gaona kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Intxixu Porregimon. That made the score 0-5 in the 58 minute of play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Mello in the 65th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Intxixu Porregimon made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Mexilhão F. C.'s zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Intxixu Porregimon came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Intxixu Porregimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. Abel de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. 88 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Intxixu Porregimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Gaona got free with Intxixu Porregimon in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
