With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Gabriel Hanuščak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after AJAX PREDATORS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Dezider Cvečka despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 21 minutes into the match Gabriel Hanuščak climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 24 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dušan Popík. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Figura's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dezider Cvečka saved AJAX PREDATORS from getting behind. Gabriel Hanuščak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Hanuščak in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Gabriel Hanuščak had to leave the field with a concussion. When Jonathan Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jonathan Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. 47 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Figura came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dezider Cvečka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Camilo Gaos was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Dezider Cvečka was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricio Costa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 62 minute of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dezider Cvečka having to make a save. Dezider Cvečka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 70th minute. After some careless play in the AJAX PREDATORS defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dezider Cvečka. The AJAX PREDATORS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dezider Cvečka should have stopped the shot. Samuel Marcinko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dezider Cvečka having to interfere. The Venezuela supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Venezuela would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
