With a couple of smart ball manuevers Coronel Paredes in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. When Calaflores FC.'s Coronel Paredes in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. In the 14th minute Calaflores FC. were awarded a corner. Dionisio Zubizarreta went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Calaflores FC.'s Aymerick Laporte getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 17th minute of play forced Calaflores FC.'s goalkeeper Víctor Valdés to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Víctor Valdés narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute of the match Chile got a corner. Calaflores FC.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Víctor Valdés quite easily take care of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Calaflores FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Casaus came free, but Víctor Valdés reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calaflores FC.'s Víctor Valdés was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Calaflores FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Víctor Valdés reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calaflores FC.'s Víctor Valdés played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 26th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Víctor Valdés. Calaflores FC.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Eric García was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match. Calaflores FC.'s Samuel De Paula was substituted for Manuel Zubiaga. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Calaflores FC.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chile:s goal. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Chile. Mariano Lacasa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Víctor Valdés. 1-3. The Chile players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
