After 15 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Pardo. After 19 minutes of play, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matei Rotariu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Steaua Somcuta MM defense, Jaime Pardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matei Rotariu. The Steaua Somcuta MM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matei Rotariu should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a free kick in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Panait Unciuleanu in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when George Pitiș came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panait Unciuleanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Steaua Somcuta MM's Matei Rotariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Steaua Somcuta MM's zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matei Rotariu came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when George Pitiș made the kick off in the second half. Hector Covarrubias hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Panait Unciuleanu during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jaime Pardo got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-4 in the right cross in the 70th match minute before Matei Rotariu had time to react. Xavier Zoido charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xavier Zoido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Xavier Zoido hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Gheorghe Ţopescu fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Steaua Somcuta MM's protests and gave Gheorghe Ţopescu a yellow card for diving instead. Paraguay's Francisco Gaos was substituted for Jaime Pardo. In the 82nd match minute, Steaua Somcuta MM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gheorghe Ţopescu to maneuver through the defense. Matei Rotariu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Gaos's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. The audience was convinced that Francisco Gaos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matei Rotariu was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Francisco Gaos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matei Rotariu having to make a save. In the 88th minute, Francisco Gaos made a precise shot to the right of Matei Rotariu. Steaua Somcuta MM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Panait Unciuleanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Gaos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Matei Rotariu. That made the score 2-6 in the 95 minute of play.
