Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 4thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but XV de Piracicaba's Fonso Zotillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fonso Zotillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fonso Zotillo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Fonso Zotillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fonso Zotillo having to interfere. After 19 played minutes XV de Piracicaba got a freekick which was hit by Severino Capixaba. XV de Piracicaba's Fonso Zotillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, XV de Piracicaba's Severino Capixaba got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of play forced XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Fonso Zotillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The nice shot from Gonzalo Jurdan in the 30thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Julio Vera had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. XV de Piracicaba's Fonso Zotillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play. Fonso Zotillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fonso Zotillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play.

Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fonso Zotillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fonso Zotillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fonso Zotillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Fonso Zotillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Fábio Montoia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Fonso Zotillo made a huge save. Fonso Zotillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 67th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fonso Zotillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Montoia in the 70th minute of play. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in XV de Piracicaba reached it. 92 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fonso Zotillo. XV de Piracicaba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. XV de Piracicaba's Fonso Zotillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 95th minute of play. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
