Felipe Ralondo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 12th playminute. After some careless play in the Asesinos Por Naturaleza defense, Axel Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pablo Lohitzun. Asesinos Por Naturaleza's Pablo Lohitzun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Mastache in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Colombia were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. Asesinos Por Naturaleza's Silvestre Moise managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luis Cazalla in the 54 minute of the game. Pedro Manzanares had in the 56thth minute some difficulties stopping Rui Furtado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.
