In the 8th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Eufrasio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Felix Montenegro advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 9th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvise Biancone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Santos in the 17th minute of play. Daniel Lon hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The Alvoha FC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Alvoha FC's Epifanio Beremundo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 25th match minute, Alvoha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Quin to maneuver through the defense. Rosendo Eufrasio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. A collision led to Alvoha FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alvise Biancone hit a great ball. Rosendo Eufrasio came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvise Biancone got free with Julio Vera in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Alvoha FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 42 minutes into the match, Alvoha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Rosendo Eufrasio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rosendo Eufrasio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Epifanio Beremundo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Ruperto Quin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Ruperto Quin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Beremundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Rodrigo Santos made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Rosendo Eufrasio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 59th minute. Rodrigo Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Alvoha FC's Rosendo Eufrasio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Alvoha FC from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Eufrasio having to interfere. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Eufrasio having to interfere. Alvoha FC made a substitution. Ladislao Aragones replaced Rodrigo Santos. After having played for 82 minutes, Alvise Biancone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvoha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvise Biancone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Hermelando came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
