In the 2nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Ernst Skog sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th play minute Jairo Malheiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Ciudad Tao FC's Jairo Malheiro got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 15 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Malheiro came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Malheiro went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 25th minute, Jairo Malheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Malheiro got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evander Zabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Jairo Malheiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Jairo Malheiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Ciudad Tao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Malheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Malheiro in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jairo Malheiro was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jairo Malheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Malheiro in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Ciudad Tao FC made a substitution. Osmar Goiano replaced Joel Sandström. The audience was convinced that Miron Zabel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miron Zabel in the 67th minute of the match. The Ciudad Tao FC fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Ciudad Tao FC's Miron Zabel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miron Zabel in the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute of the match Ciudad Tao FC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joakim Vennerlund ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Miron Zabel put it in 7-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. 95 minutes into the match, Osmar Goiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osmar Goiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. There was no doubt that Ciudad Tao FC were the better team. Ciudad Tao FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
