CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Uriel Lano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 14th minute of play. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin-Daniel Palermo went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the game, USA's Cassius Byrne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Uriel Lano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. USA's Edward Mcdonald got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 33rd minute of play forced CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's goalkeeper Uriel Lano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cassius Byrne in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uriel Lano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bonifacio Bartoli. Uriel Lano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monty Rogers went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 40th minute, Sven-Arne Hellsing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Uriel Lano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 42nd minute of play. If Bonifacio Bartoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Monty Rogers's late challenge caught a CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Monty Rogers helped the player get up and apologised. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Macias to maneuver through the defense. If Bartolo Ortzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Eustaquio Txurio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Uriel Lano made a huge save. Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Lano having to interfere. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Monty Rogers was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. 71 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Martin-Daniel Palermo came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flavio Escobar took the corner. After a rather tough play, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Arnulfo Liberto got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the game, Raphael Moore threw the ball into play from the sideline. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Arnulfo Liberto quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Martin-Daniel Palermo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Khalid Parry was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. USA played a much better game than CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 and deserved their victory. The CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
