Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Petru Nisporeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Örjan Forssell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Chile's Felix Garrido got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Örjan Forssell reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thiago Pliego. The goal made the score 2-0. Chile were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. Mariano Lacasa made a great header on Chile's corner, it was just that Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Petru Nisporeanu managed to reach the ball for a save. If Cortez Morera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Örjan Forssell made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Jose Manzanedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 54 minutes Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. Chile's Mariano Lacasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Petru Nisporeanu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cortez Morera in the 59th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quinton Isern hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Petru Nisporeanu in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Petru Nisporeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 72nd minute of play. Petru Nisporeanu was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 2-2. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Örjan Forssell in the 84th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Forssell in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute of the match Deportivo Peñarol FIFV got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paolo Montero ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Luo Cheng heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 89th minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petru Nisporeanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
