A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Gonzalo Piorno tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, 柯鹏国 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 33 minutes, 柯鹏国 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pujol FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but 柯鹏国 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Gonzalo Piorno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 柯鹏国 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Mazza having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Gonzalo Piorno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Pujol FC's goalkeeper Alberto Mazza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Piorno in the 68th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 柯鹏国's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alberto Mazza. That made the score 1-1 after 71 minutes of play. After 75 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Piorno, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Odilon came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
