Felix Vărzaru's late challenge caught a Emalia Olkusz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Vărzaru helped the player get up and apologised. 37 minutes into the game, Emalia Olkusz's Innar Laaneloog nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rosendo Seguinus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rosendo Seguinus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Innar Laaneloog, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Sunday Niedziela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Semeghin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Emalia Olkusz were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Emalia Olkusz had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
