In the 12th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Valette Stars's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. In the 14th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adrien Tanneau. Valette Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 20th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrien Tanneau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 23rd minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 33rd minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Guillaume Chaine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Guillaume Chaine ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 53rd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafail Rusev in the 58th minute of play. Valette Stars's Dan Pruvot was substituted for Pierre-Antoine Landemaine. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafail Rusev, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Alberto Tafalla succeeded in the game's 64th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. 79 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Guillaume Chaine came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Mathys Chassot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 94th minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valette Stars succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Mexico had controlled the match.
