Emiliano Manfredi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Emiliano Manfredi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Manfredi saved Araucampeón Retirado from getting behind. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Araucampeón Retirado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Héctor Soffia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Araucampeón Retirado got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Moisés Villarroel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Araucampeón Retirado's Emiliano Manfredi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Araucampeón Retirado's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Emiliano Manfredi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Halil Okaners short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 42 minutes into the match, Araucampeón Retirado's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Emiliano Manfredi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Halil Okaner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araucampeón Retirado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Halil Okaner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

After 54 minutes, Halil Okaner made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sotomayor Portas hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84thth minute of the game Halil Okaner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emiliano Manfredi made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 90th minute of play forced Araucampeón Retirado's goalkeeper Emiliano Manfredi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Halil Okaner in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 94th minute of play forced Araucampeón Retirado's goalkeeper Emiliano Manfredi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Araucampeón Retirado and deserved their victory. The Araucampeón Retirado players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
