Axel Tasis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Måns Sigfridsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 37th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Skollholmen FC's Måns Sigfridsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 43rd minute of play. Måns Sigfridsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Edmund Scislowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Ferrant was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 78 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Måns Sigfridsson made a huge save. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the game, Elliot Kilberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skollholmen FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. In the 93rd minute, Elliot Kilberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lewis James in the 96th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skollholmen FC's Måns Sigfridsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Skollholmen FC from getting a goal against them.
