The audience thought a goal was coming when Billy Sundberg got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carl Askelöf. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Tolsson in the 18th minute of the match. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Carl Askelöf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Tolsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henry Tolsson in the 28th minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Carl Askelöf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Henry Tolsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Henry Tolsson slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Arman Högström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boomerang Bombers's supporters rose to their feet, but Arman Högström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Askelöf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Tolsson came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boomerang Bombers! The goalkeeper, Carl Askelöf, was totally fooled by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Henry Tolsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Henry Tolsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Tolsson in the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Boomerang Bombers.
