Madvik FC's Valdemar Fontoura managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 89 minute of the game. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 94th minute. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Madvik FC's Carles Olle did a great save. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but Madvik FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
