With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Hellqvist in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 22nd minute StraX Xenon FC were awarded a corner. Pelle Smedfeldt went to the cornerflag to take it. Jonas Hellqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 24th minute, StraX Xenon FC's Jonas Hellqvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Joacim Andersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when StraX Xenon FC's Jonas Hellqvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Olofsson having to interfere. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Jonas Hellqvist sent off a good shot on target. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jonas Hellqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joacim Andersson during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 50 played minutes StraX Xenon FC got a freekick which was hit by Otto Axelsson. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torbjörn Brummer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of StraX Xenon FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pelle Smedfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 66th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Olofsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera had in the 86thth minute some difficulties stopping Torbjörn Brummer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience was convinced that Jonas Hellqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Mattias Olofsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Joacim Andersson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Mattias Olofsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The StraX Xenon FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
