George Frântu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Firefighter BT ★Dac★ booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Pardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Jaime Pardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Frântu was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Jaime Pardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 38 minutes into the match, Firefighter BT ★Dac★'s goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but George Frântu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes, Jose Sanz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraguay and the Firefighter BT ★Dac★ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Jose Sanz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the game, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Frântu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. George Frântu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Paraguay were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valer Buta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Frântu having to interfere. Victor Paulescu was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Firefighter BT ★Dac★'s Victor Paulescu got a free kick in the 56th minute. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. George Frântu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Firefighter BT ★Dac★ booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jose Sanz came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Sanz couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jaime Pardo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving George Frântu. That made the score 0-4 in the 65 minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Frântu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Juan Diego Tenorio made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Firefighter BT ★Dac★'s Valer Buta. Firefighter BT ★Dac★'s Valer Buta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Juan Diego Tenorio, made in the 81st minute of the game. When Alan Campos came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Campos couldn't finish the play. The Firefighter BT ★Dac★ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Paraguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
