The supporters of Karasuno booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Calvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute Fausto Ler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Obeko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Karmel came free, but Aureliano Obeko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karasuno's Alfonso Karmel managed to work through Leones FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Alfonso Karmel dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Omar Estebano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Jakue in the 12th minute of play. Gregorio Atarrabi kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Manilan in the 28th minute of play forced Karasuno's goalkeeper Omar Estebano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Amador Jakue came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Leones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amador Jakue couldn't finish the play. Amador Jakue struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Omar Estebano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones FC. When Diego Manilan, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 40 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Omar Estebano was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 43rd minute of the match, Fausto Ler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aureliano Obeko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Gregorio Atarrabi got a free kick in the 48th minute. The audience was convinced that Fausto Ler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aureliano Obeko was relentless in the 49th minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Ler was the one to do the kick off. Leones FC's Aureliano Obeko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Bixintxo in the 80th minute of play. If Lucas Fraco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 91 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Louis. Teofilo Berenguer took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aureliano Obeko. Aureliano Obeko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.
