The Pinturas Coronado fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Pinturas Coronado's Bengt Persson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pinturas Coronado's Ruud van Nistelrooij shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Janne Katt but with some difficulty. Beltxe Balboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jørg Heichendorff in the 17th minute of play. With his leg Janne Katt managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Pinturas Coronado's C.J. Sharp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when C.J. Sharp got free with Janne Katt in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Janne Katt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of C.J. Sharp's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The audience was convinced that C.J. Sharp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janne Katt was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 24 minutes Sonstorps Fotboll's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was C.J. Sharp who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Genaro Peña at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Sonstorps Fotboll. 2-0. C.J. Sharps short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Janne Katt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 31st minute, Stig-Åke Molander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sonstorps Fotboll fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With a little luck, Sonstorps Fotboll's Janne Katt got control of the ball when C.J. The corner led Pinturas Coronado's Bengt Persson to fire away a dangerous shot which Janne Katt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 41st minute Stig-Åke Molander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beltxe Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Stig-Åke Molander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sonstorps Fotboll's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Åke Molander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Törnblom was the one to do the kick off. Sharp fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head.
