Alexander Brække kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Eric Hilstad was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Raul Gabirel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 13 minute of play. If Nils-Christian Valde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anastasio Abilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Christian Valde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Raul Gabirel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eric Hilstad. That made the score 2-2 in the 23 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salvador Suero got free with Eric Hilstad in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute Tarjei Ottem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Abilio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FC Lechia Stavanger's Nils-Christian Valde in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karasuno's goalie prevented a goal. Rodrigo Bixintxo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Eric Hilstad made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Karasuno's goal looked a bit too open when Tarjei Ottem came free, but Anastasio Abilio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Morten Klaussen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Anastasio Abilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anastasio Abilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Christian Valde in the 43rd minute of the match. Morten Klaussen might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anastasio Abilio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Morten Klaussen ran back to his position shaking his head. After 44th play minutes Nils-Christian Valde shot 2-5, a short shot which went by Anastasio Abilio and just under the crossbar into goal. Morten Klaussen took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anastasio Abilio. Anastasio Abilio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Salvador Suero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nils-Christian Valde in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anastasio Abilio saved Karasuno from getting behind. Paulino Rivas hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Nils-Christian Valde's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Anastasio Abilio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 60th minute Raul Gabirel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Hilstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Hilstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Suero in the 67th minute of play. Eric Hilstad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Gabirel, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After some careless play in the FC Lechia Stavanger defense, Raul Gabirel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eric Hilstad. The FC Lechia Stavanger fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eric Hilstad should have stopped the shot. Gabriel Ensrud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Abilio having to interfere. A collision led to FC Lechia Stavanger getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Gabriel Ensrud hit a great ball. Eric Hilstad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvador Suero's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After 77 minutes, Fausto Ler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karasuno and the FC Lechia Stavanger players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Lechia Stavanger's Nils-Christian Valde got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Morten Klaussen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 84th minute Nils-Christian Valde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Abilio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anastasio Abilio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Morten Klaussen in the 85th minute. Fausto Ler hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Karasuno's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nils-Christian Valde fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. FC Lechia Stavanger made a substitution. Hans-Kristian Bjørdal replaced Mikkel Wiggen. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils-Christian Valde in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anastasio Abilio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Lechia Stavanger's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
