Branislav Velchevski came out of the goal and Edelmiro Olivar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Punk Fiction's goalie and right to Arnaldo Gabon. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Punk Fiction's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 14th minute, Mustafa Ali Cansoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Punk Fiction's goal looked a bit too open when Petrică Măcriș came free, but Amado Jordão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Nayely in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the Punk Fiction defense, Elpidio Francis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amado Jordão. The Punk Fiction fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amado Jordão should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute, Elpidio Francis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A collision led to Punk Fiction getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Eleuterio Gagriel hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Elpidio Francis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Amado Jordão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The wind increased when Gilberto Nayely made the kick off in the second half. Amado Jordão made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Monclús in the 64th minute. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Nayely in the 69th minute of play. André Monclús had several of the Punk Fiction's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 77 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Amado Jordão as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 84th minute, Abelardo Tancredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amado Jordão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Măcriș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mustafa Ali Cansoy hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Nayely, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Gilberto Nayely cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Branislav Velchevski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
