Per Stenberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis to fire away a dangerous shot which Hubert Fagrell despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Elpidio Francis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Hubert Fagrell made a huge save. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Fagerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petrică Măcriș hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henry Fagerberg to make the kick off. Aristides Asteri took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hubert Fagrell. Hubert Fagrell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Hubert Fagrell came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús. But to his dismay, André Monclús quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. André Monclús might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hubert Fagrell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Monclús ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 64th minute André Monclús shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Fagrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Tunström in the 66th minute of the match. Hubert Fagrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Monclús in the 68th minute of play.
