Venezuela's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Yu Feng Sang 2 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vernon Wilkinson got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Bobby Vanooteghem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Yu Feng Sang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Bobby Vanooteghem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bobby Vanooteghem having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yu Feng Sang in the 45th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bobby Vanooteghem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jermaine Collingwood in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Dare to dream again's goalkeeper Bobby Vanooteghem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. In the 58th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Dare to dream again's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Venezuela were furious when Rigoberto Mina was red carded, 64 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 63 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Dare to dream again's Vernon Wilkinson in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vernon Wilkinson in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute Dare to dream again were awarded a corner. Vernon Wilkinson went to the cornerflag to take it. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bobby Vanooteghem having to interfere. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jermaine Collingwood kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Dare to dream again getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Lucky Levandy hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Dare to dream again's Eddy Boumans got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th match minute, Dare to dream again was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Balendin to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Dare to dream again had won after a very even match.
