The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charro Dieguez in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Paulo Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Hita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charro Dieguez didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 10th minute. Ya Perdimos F.C.'s supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 13th minute Charro Dieguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of play forced Ya Perdimos F.C.'s goalkeeper Paulo Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ya Perdimos F.C.'s Paulo Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute Reinaldo Gancedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Charro Dieguez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Garin Lerma charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Garin Lerma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ya Perdimos F.C.'s Artal Alzorbe was substituted for Álvaro Fonseca.
