Felix Montenegro scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giorgi Mamardashvili, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laércio Torres got free with Julio Vera in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romário MacAlister received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Romário MacAlister slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgi Mamardashvili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giorgi Mamardashvili came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Ronaldo MacAlister stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Ronaldo MacAlister tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Liu Zhi Guang came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liu Zhi Guang was the one to do the kick off. Akira アキラ's Giorgi Mamardashvili proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Akira アキラ from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liu Zhi Guang in the 58th minute of the match. Giorgi Mamardashvili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Giorgi Mamardashvili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Akira アキラ's Fred Campidelis got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Giorgi Mamardashvili. Akira アキラ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 69th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Giorgi Mamardashvili however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Akira アキラ booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Giorgi Mamardashvili. Giorgi Mamardashvili yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. 76 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giorgi Mamardashvili narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 80th minute of play forced Akira アキラ's goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Akira アキラ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário MacAlister in the 85th minute of the match.
