Bobby Vanooteghem came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Jermaine Collingwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikolaj Tomaszewski spun around in front of the goal 31 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ecuador's goal. Bobby Vanooteghem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute of play forced Dare to dream again's goalkeeper Bobby Vanooteghem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Vernon Wilkinson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bobby Vanooteghem. Bobby Vanooteghem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The Dare to dream again players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

Bobby Vanooteghem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Dare to dream again's Bobby Vanooteghem got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dare to dream again reached it. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bobby Vanooteghem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
