Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Elvio Rivas in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jose Correa. In the 8th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oro Montes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th match minute, Fuerzas Armadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbasa Vazquez to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oro Montes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute Fuerzas Armadas were awarded a corner. Eufrasio Aranzubia went to the cornerflag to take it. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Xerardo Amer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Xerardo Amer tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Fuerzas Armadas getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gaizkine Armada hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xerardo Amer was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Fuerzas Armadas got a freekick which was hit by Xerardo Amer. In the 55th minute Xerardo Amer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eufrasio Aranzubia was slow to take the kick. During this time Fuerzas Armadas's players had a chance to rest. Fuerzas Armadas's Eufrasio Aranzubia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eufrasio Aranzubia went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Quinto Nobo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinto Nobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fuerzas Armadas's Xerardo Amer. But to his dismay, Xerardo Amer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Oro Montes made a huge save. Oro Montes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Xerardo Amer put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Fuerzas Armadas's Xerardo Amer got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute Eufrasio Aranzubia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xerardo Amer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Fuerzas Armadas getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Urbasa Vazquez hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fuerzas Armadas.
