The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Monty Rogers struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Lei Zhen De didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. In the 8thth minute of the game Dalton Bennett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludomil Topolski, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Robert Bergman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Bergman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalton Bennett in the 26th minute of the match. Cassius Byrne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Mosjö Sportklubb were awarded a corner. Ola Martinsson went to the cornerflag to take it. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Monty Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Monty Rogers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalton Bennett in the 36th minute of the match. If Ola Martinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Bergman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Ludomil Topolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of USA booed when Mosjö Sportklubb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joacim Gustavsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Cassius Byrne could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Lei Zhen De however easily saved by the left post. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludomil Topolski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Cassius Byrne got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalton Bennett in the 74th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute Edward Mcdonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lei Zhen De saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute Ludomil Topolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Mosjö Sportklubb's corner Ola Martinsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marco Day quite easily take care of the ball. Lei Zhen De made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalid Parry in the 84th minute of play. Sam Campbell's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Jenson Smith ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Jenson Smith almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mosjö Sportklubb's Lei Zhen De did a great save. Despite being the better team, USA failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
