The Gortaty fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arkadiusz Grajewski should have stopped the shot. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arkadiusz Grajewski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Primitivo Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Primitivo Escribano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arkadiusz Grajewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Jaime Pardo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arkadiusz Grajewski. The goal made the score 0-8. Jaime Pardo scored 0-9 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arkadiusz Grajewski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arkadiusz Grajewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 81st minute of play. Gortaty's Arkadiusz Grajewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Gortaty from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 95th minute of play forced Gortaty's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Grajewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paraguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
