The corner led Colombia's Santino Seco to fire away a dangerous shot which Donato Ali despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 30 played minutes Schuster got a freekick which was hit by Musko Cuevas. 33 minutes in the game Orlando Tafalla did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Santino Seco. In the 34th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Ali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Schuster's Mauro Bezerra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The supporters of Schuster booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Bezerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. Orlando Tafalla made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Santino Seco immediately put the ball in play. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Musko Cuevas's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Donato Ali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Donato Ali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Schuster's Mauro Bezerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, Schuster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrico Pagliarini to maneuver through the defense. Colombia made a substitution. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Mauro Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute, Orlando Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Schuster.
