The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Talento Futebol clube's Fraco Zago got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdulaziz Onsoy in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdulaziz Onsoy to make the kick off. Carlinhos Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. José Maria Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Talento Futebol clube's Abdulaziz Onsoy got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdulaziz Onsoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Maria Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 60th minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdulaziz Onsoy in the 66th minute of play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute.
