Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alejandro Folch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Alejandro Folch took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Folch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 31st minute of play forced JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS's goalkeeper Tino Casal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Odín came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Alejandro Folch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejandro Folch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Tino Casal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 85 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Folch came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tino Casal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 played minutes JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS got a freekick which was hit by Ari Brantwein. With a little luck, JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS's Tino Casal got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincente Iraegui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tino Casal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
