The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliver Rogiers got free with Julio Vera in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. When Kingston Mønster fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Adab FC's protests and gave Kingston Mønster a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Adab FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kingston Mønster didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adab FC's Abdessalem Abdessalam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Adab FC's goalkeeper Abdessalem Abdessalam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Zorita during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 81 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdessalem Abdessalam made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. Adab FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Agustín Saelices 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fryderyk Witwicki in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 89th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdessalem Abdessalam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdessalem Abdessalam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 91st minute of the match. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Abdessalem Abdessalam made a huge save.
