Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Borys Witek was left in no man's land by his defense there! 9 minutes into the game, Kai Østbye recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Kai Østbye showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 11th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Witek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Brufoss IL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Juan Sebastián Puig got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-2. 13 minutes into the match. Emanuel Markham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Markham got free with Julio Vera in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 21 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 25 in the game by Emanuel Markham from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Borys Witek having to make a save. Kent Remme struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brufoss IL. In the 39th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Witek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borys Witek having to interfere. Christer Ribe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Markham in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Jakob Lode received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 52nd minute Emanuel Markham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Christer Ribe got a free kick in the 60th minute. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Borys Witek threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Brufoss IL's Are Høiby was substituted for Kevin Strømsnes. In the 69th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute Kent Remme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Brufoss IL's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Borys Witek came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kai Østbye came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Brufoss IL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Juan Sebastián Puig made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Brufoss IL's Borys Witek managed to reach the ball for a save. Felix Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Borys Witek firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Borys Witek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After 94 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Christer Ribe. The Brufoss IL fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
