Daniel Zorita took the corner. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Lamento Boliviano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Lamento Boliviano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibalt Abadia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dantel Abadie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play. Lamento Boliviano's Dantel Abadie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 24th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dantel Abadie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Luis Andino got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-2. 27 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Lamento Boliviano's Bonifaco Abella got a free kick in the 31st minute. Dantel Abadie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of the match. Dantel Abadie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Dantel Abadie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dantel Abadie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After 56 minutes of play, Lamento Boliviano's Montel Abeita made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dantel Abadie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 65th minute of play. In the 71st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dantel Abadie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play forced Lamento Boliviano's goalkeeper Dantel Abadie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Lamento Boliviano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dantel Abadie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Lamento Boliviano's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Dantel Abadie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dantel Abadie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. 85 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Lamento Boliviano's Dantel Abadie. Dantel Abadie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lamento Boliviano's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cristian Sancho 90 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-7.
