Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Brufoss IL's Emanuel Markham started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christer Ribe hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 10th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute of play forced Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Borys Witek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Borys Witek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Borys Witek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brufoss IL's Borys Witek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute of play. Kent Remme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After 29 minutes, Emmanuel Schol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brufoss IL and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emmanuel Schol kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brufoss IL's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Borys Witek came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th play minute Emanuel Markham came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 1-1. Jakob Lode fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Remme in the 46th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Borys Witek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 51st minute of the match. The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kai Østbye didn't quite understand what happened when in the 54 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Markham in the 60th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Emanuel Markham made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Remme in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Brufoss IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Remme to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Kent Remme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Tomas Illescas took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Borys Witek to make any attempt to save it. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
