An unexpectedly hard shot by Koby Wright in the 5th minute of play forced Juventus PTM's goalkeeper Armando Gazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jax Williamson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Espírito Santo in the 6th minute of play. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yenal Tanır in the 8th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Koby Wright notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Juventus PTM's Armando Gazza. Armando Gazza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rohan Watson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Juventus PTM's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Koby Wright was slow to take the kick. During this time Canada's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Koby Wright got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armando Gazza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raimundo Espírito Santo to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualter Távora during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Canada booed when Juventus PTM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Távora didn't get a good kick on the ball.
