When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. In the 17th match minute, Cylon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 姚广邦 to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes Cylon got a freekick which was hit by 沈然弘. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 沈迪志 in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Cotilla saved Panama from getting behind. When 汪飞文 fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cylon's protests and gave 汪飞文 a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cylon's 汪飞文 got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, 汪飞文 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 沈迪志 went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 87th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 林城谦 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, 温枫远 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cylon booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 龙钢超 in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Cotilla saved Panama from getting behind. Panama's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
