Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Anton Björnberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Facundo Cadaval made in the 19th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lautaro Mancebo immediately put the ball in play. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anton Björnberg having to make a save. 26 minutes into the game, Inter de Chillán's Vatan Enfal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 31st minute, Inter de Chillán's Vatan Enfal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Leonardo Leoz made in the 36th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lautaro Mancebo. Inter de Chillán's Albino Zenteno quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leonardo Leoz, made in the 39th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vatan Enfal in the 39th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tobías Izamit was slow to take the kick. During this time Inter de Chillán's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Salvador Mateluna almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. A collision led to Inter de Chillán getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Alfonso Sotta hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vatan Enfal was the one to do the kick off. Inter de Chillán's Florencio Jax got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vatan Enfal's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tobías Izamit was slow to take the kick. During this time Inter de Chillán's players had a chance to rest. Tobías Izamit made a great header on Inter de Chillán's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. Chen Feng Jian hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Inter de Chillán's Marcel Wassermayer was substituted for Chen Feng Jian. After 77 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tobías Izamit who took care of the corner kick. In the 85th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Alberto Tafalla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anton Björnberg. The goal made the score 3-2. Leonardo Leoz made in the 94th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lautaro Mancebo immediately put the ball in play. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Inter de Chillán had won after a very even match.
