In the 21st match minute, KS Beskid Andrychów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedykt Nalaskowski to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes KS Beskid Andrychów got a freekick which was hit by Rafal Jaszcz. KS Beskid Andrychów's Przemyslaw Teofila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 25th minute of play. After 39 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. In the 40th minute of the match, Zygmunt Gierlach got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benito Sanz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 45th match minute, KS Beskid Andrychów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafal Jaszcz to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Boruc Pracki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. When Rafal Jaszcz fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KS Beskid Andrychów's protests and gave Rafal Jaszcz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when KS Beskid Andrychów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafal Jaszcz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Przemyslaw Teofila having to interfere. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zygmunt Gierlach in the 81st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cyprian Domin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. When KS Beskid Andrychów's Zygmunt Gierlach in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
