An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Erico in the 8th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enzo Uzuri having to make a save. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Arsenio Erico sent off a good shot on target. Wincenty Bucyki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Constitución's goalkeeper Enzo Uzuri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Sportivo Constitución's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Enzo Uzuri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciriaco Medardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After 24 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enzo Uzuri was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enzo Uzuri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 32nd minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Uzuri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wincenty Bucyki got free with Julio Vera in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 played minutes Sportivo Constitución got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Jerano. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wincenty Bucyki. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play forced Sportivo Constitución's goalkeeper Enzo Uzuri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Enzo Uzuri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Felix Montenegro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto Theodore's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. The audience was convinced that Norberto Theodore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Enzo Uzuri in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 66 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Wincenty Bucyki came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Sportivo Constitución's Enzo Uzuri got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88thth minute of the game Godofredo Eduino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Godofredo Eduino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sportivo Constitución throughout the match.
