After a rather tough play, Azzurri FC's Malcom Payton got a free kick in the 13th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malcom Payton during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Malcom Payton hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 18th minute of play forced Azzurri FC's goalkeeper Hando Festini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 23rd minute, when Azzurri FC's Malcom Payton after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Jonathan Ferrant in Venezuela's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hando Festini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hando Festini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Carlos Tello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Azzurri FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 46 played minutes Azzurri FC got a freekick which was hit by Bartlomiej Winnicki. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Hando Festini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 65 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Kendrick Schumacher came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Tello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Tello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Azzurri FC were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Malcom Payton took the corner. Hando Festini made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute Jules Barrett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Nelson Jodion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Nelson Jodion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jules Barrett hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Azzurri FC's Hando Festini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 86th minute of play. Patricio Costa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 86th playminute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Tello in the 91st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kendrick Schumacher in the 96th minute of play.
