David Velecký dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Velecký made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Xinto Palencia's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xinto Palencia helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Rohozec got a freekick which was hit by Xinto Palencia. David Velecký made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 58th minute of play. Peru's Alonso Berganza was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Velecký in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Xinto Palencia made in the 70th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kléber Lopes immediately put the ball in play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítězslav Kršek in the 71st minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, one of Rohozec:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a long run with the ball, Luz Tejedor did a trick in the 78th minute in front of Rohozec's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 3-3. An impressive performance by Peru's Luz Tejedor! Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítězslav Kršek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Xinto Palencia made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Punišić in the 95th minute of play. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Xinto Palencia in the 97 minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Peru's David Velecký threw himself towards the right post 98 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antonio Tenorio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Peru were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Rohozec to leave the ground with a draw.
