Lance Malliouris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play. Lance Malliouris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. FC Schonebeck's Anselm Hayer got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bengt Persson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Lance Malliouris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Lance Malliouris in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 53 minutes into the match, Anselm Hayer notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Lance Malliouris made a huge save. FC Schonebeck's Lance Malliouris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save FC Schonebeck from getting a goal against them. Lance Malliouris was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luis Andino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 62 minute of play. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Persson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Bengt Persson notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Schonebeck's Lothar Drinkard. But to his dismay, Lothar Drinkard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lothar Drinkard in the 92nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bengt Persson in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 94th match minute, FC Schonebeck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sébastien Heintz to maneuver through the defense. FC Schonebeck succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
