Juan Rubio's late challenge caught a Ubatuba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yan do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Yan do Valle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Puig went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Luiz Paulo Pereira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Luiz Paulo Pereira slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

Natã do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ubatuba fully deserved thier win.
