Cristóvão Freire was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 86 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Cristóvão Freire was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, KINGS FC's Afonso Paiva got a free kick in the 90th minute. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Freire having to interfere. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
